Who am I?
• I'm Daniel Acker
• I'm a photographer
• I live in a rural community outside of Chicago
Beyond the bullet points:
After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology I spent a decade in NYC working for Bloomberg. That role provided me the opportunity to travel frequently, working on assignments primarily focused on business, finance, and politics. From factory floors to the corner office I've photographed many subjects over the years, and loved every minute of it.
Since leaving New York I've been a freelance photographer working on editorial, corporate, and advertising commissions. I'm also a FAA Part 107 certified and insured commercial drone pilot. Clients include: Libby Pumpkin/Nestle USA, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Bloomberg Media, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, NBC News, & Reuters.
When I'm not making pictures you'll usually find me doing dishes, watching my daughters play soccer, digging through antique malls looking for treasure, or tackling my never-ending list of home projects.
